Quote from JTbo :I could live with only straight view, maybe that would learn people to be more careful and aware of surroundings too?

Did you not see my post/pics on the 1st page. Its people that dont look that cause the accidents, if they had looked just once they would've kept to the left and there wouldnt have been an accident. This has happened so many times on SO chicane, and its only been out a couple of days.

What he's saying is, if you use the d-pad on the dfp, you cant look 90deg ... how can you press left and right at the same time on a d-pad ? So obviously, being able to choose 45 or 90 would work better for people that use a d-pad

edit: nevermind taavi changed his post

Might as well get rid of the whole thing seeing as no one uses it. Look at the pics to see 2 examples of how a simple glance would prevent an accident, when watching the replay i can see that i look to the left about 4 or 5 times, yet the people that crashed into me didnt look around at all. Surely at the start of a race and when its all bunched up its important to know where everyone is, and if you dont do that, at least hold your line so you dont cut other people up ....

edit: I use a dfp and use the paddles to look left/right. Only car i use paddles for gears is the F1 when i use the d-pad to look around, and sitting low in the F1 you wont see much more by looking 90deg as apposed to 45deg

Finally got round to reinstalling, and im glad i did. The first game i played was infiltration, and i was rubbish, but then moved on to team deathmatch and was topping the leadboard every round. The gameplay is just so fast paced I love this game

"And how much are the XPS's ?"

"...I liek to ask peoples opinions... "

You was asking for a fact, not an opinion :dopey: Asking for an opinion is one thing, but that's just being lazy ... all i'm saying

Kunos ...

"I just want to make clear to any netKar PRO customer that this project is not taking ANY time off the development of netKar v1.0.3.

So many things were changed during this long long long time since v1.0.2 and now the problem is to assemble all the new features into a stable package.
This august is very busy for all the team as we're working to clean up and close both the patch v1.0.3 and the Trento Bondone version for our customer Marangoni Tyre.

The netKar PRO version of the Trento Bondone plus the Osella car will be given a graphical remake and then released with netKar v1.1 (after the patch v1.0.3) with the added mode for hillclimb tracks.

Lots of things happening, and also very very exciting.. few know that Team BRD is now running with its own car and driver in the UK Formula BMW championship. The possibility of working with the simulator at the race track, comparing telemetry between the real car and the simulator, driven by the same driver is an incredible opportunity and the entire software is taking such a giant step thanks to the feedback and data coming from the real racing experience.

Plus, we were able seal a very important collaboration that will shape the future of all netKar PRO... once v1.0.3 will be out we'll start to inform you a bit more about our future.. that looks very very bright.
v1.0.3 feels really great and I hope it will be recognized as a brand new start or this project..or, maybe, what v1.0.0 should have been last year.

As now, netBike is just a technology demo.. I don't think we can afford to develop for it much, the team is not involved in this project in any way.. i am the only one "working" on it instead of a walk on a beach or something.. it keeps my brain working and it gives me new angles and ideas about physics approach and modeling.

And, as somebody was joking above about netQuake and shooting in Aviano.. actually that does exist too, and it is named E.r.i.K.a. (Experimental Racing Infantry Kunos Academy) and it is something i use to work on new graphic techniques that I can test without having the burden of netKar PRO's physic engine eating up much resources.. it is really possible to walk around in Aviano and shoot. Just as netBike it gives me a different vision.. thanks to this I can work on stuff as HDRL (High Dynamic Range Lighting), Post Process effect, new collision detection systems, real time shadows, user interface.. all these things will be available also in netKar PRO once the typical PC's power allows me to make these things run decently together with a CPU hungry physic model like netKar's.

I know that motorbike enthusiasts are hoping for a "full" simulator starting, but sorry to say that netBike isnt it.. at least at this stage it is hard for me to see a real possibility to find the time and resources to bring this project from techdemo to decency."

That wasn't grass on the exit, but grasscrete, at least it is in real life. Although it would still give less grip ...

The car is very nice, but that realfeel just doesn't work properly. If im in a slide the FFB shouldn't be fighting against me trying to correct it. Maybe i just have it set up wrong ... but the FFB felt horrible.

@RoCkBiGdAvE - take about 4 pics, slightly overlapping each other, upload to the forza site and then stitch them together on PC

@KMSpeed - The only real tracks on the game are, Laguna Seca, Suzuka, Tsukuba, Nordschlieffe, Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Mugello. There aren't any F1 cars or open wheelers, but there are Prototype race cars
